Assisting organizations in their path towards sustainable success is our mission. We believe we can only do so if our organization remains fully committed to sustainable development. For this reason, we have re-affirmed our commitment to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. With our Progress Report 2019, we would like to inform you about the practical implementation of these principles in our company.
By committing to the United Nations Global Compact, companies agree to align their strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals. Companies that sign the UN Global Compact also commit themselves to promote the 17 Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs).
DQS CFS has been an active participant of the UN Global Compact since 2016. Because transparency is a crucial part of the Global Compact, we are happy to issue our fourth annual report about the alignment of our organization with the principles of the Global Compact.
Communication on Progress 2019
Our progress report focuses in particular on the topics of human rights, environmental protection, responsibilities towards employees and the fight against corruption.
The progress report describes the measures we have taken to include the ten principles into our corporate strategy, culture and daily operations. One example we are particularly proud of is the ProGASA Initiative, a project that helps to raise gender awareness among social auditors. Measures like these help to continuously improve the integration of the ten principles of UN Global Compact in our company and our services.
