508 trucks is not the kind of delivery even the Algerian army receives every day, and this time, the recent certification to IATF 16949 was one more reason for celebration. SAPPL Mercedes Benz SPA is the first company to be certified to this very demanding automotive industry standard in Algeria. DQS was therefore proud to be represented by both the Managing Director of DQS Maghreb Sarl., Mr. Tarek Barketallah, and Dr. Dieter Stadler, responsible for international business development at DQS Holding, who had both been invited as guests of honor to this unique event.

Mr. Bouali, General Director of SAPPL, receives the certificates from Dr. Stadler

The Algerian Army, represented by Major General Rachid Chouaki and General Ismail Krikrou, proudly declared this delivery to be proof of the success of the Algerian government’s efforts aimed at developing and improving local production industries and the efficiency and strength of the national economy. He cited significant achievements in the areas of science, equipment, defense, training and preparation as the basis for this.

The certificate to IATF 16949, which is the automotive industry standard for quality management, was issued based on SAPPL’s recent transition audit by DQS auditors from DQS Maghreb. During the ceremony, Dr. Stadler emphasized that the certificates also honor the role model of SAPPL Mercedes-Benz SPA for the entire Algerian automotive industry, as well as the strong interest DQS has in developing quality management not only in Algeria but in the whole Maghreb region.
