The ISO 9001 standard, originally published in 1987, had earned a global reputation as the basis for establishing a quality management systems. With subsequent review and publishing of the 1994 and currently the 2000 version which is based on the eight quality management principles of Customer Focus, Leadership, Involvement of People, Process Approach, System Approach to Management, Continual Improvement, Factual Approach to Decision Making and Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationships, it reflects best management practices that organization can adopt.
The concept of “continual improvement” contained in the ISO 9001:2000 is intended to promote the effectiveness of the quality management system and increase the organization’s ability to compete in the market.
ATN Technology Sdn. Bhd. was recently certified to ISO 9001:2000 by DQS after undergoing the various stage of the certification process and this shows a clear signal to all their customers that they are totally committed to maintaining the highest quality standards throughout their entire operations and has a highly disciplined approach to its management process which had been certified by an internationally recognized certification body like DQS. As a result, this increases their customer’s confidence in dealing with ATN Technology Sdn. Bhd., and ultimately increases their ability to compete in the market.
