EN9110:2005 Model for quality assurance applicable to maintenance organizations

EN 9110:2005 includes ISO 9001:2000 QMS requirements with combination of specifies requirements for a QMS for aerospace maintenance organizations.

This Standard specifies requirements for a QMS where an organization

  1. needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and
  2. aims to enhance customer satisfaction through an effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.

All requirements of this Standard are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.

PT Dirgantara Indonesia/Indonesian Aerospace (IAe) is one of the indigenous aerospace company in Asia with core competence in aircraft design, development and manufacturing of civilian and military regional commuter aircraft, and provide aircraft maintenance service.

One of it business unit, Aircraft Services (ACS) who is established for performing seamless support and services for all operators of IAe produced aircraft as well as similar aircraft to the product of IAe, recently has embarked EN9100:2005 & ISO9001:2000 certification.

In order to perfect its Quality Management system and achieve certification ACS underwent a stringent evaluation process. This included a pre-audit assessment, a review of documentation, system assessment and clearance of non-conformances.
