EN 9100:2003 is a Quality Management System standard which is based on ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements with combination of aerospace industry specific requirements for aerospace manufacturing organizations. It was established based on the realization of the aerospace industry on the important of the ISO quality management system in satisfying internal, government and regulatory requirements for the industry. Major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers worldwide require compliance and/or registration to EN9100 as a condition of doing business with them.

Paradigm Metal Industries Sdn. Bhd. (PMI) and Paradigm Precision Component Sdn. Bhd. (PPC) are the members for LIPO Corporation Berhad, a public listed company. Located at Penang, both companies specialize in high precision engineering, tooling and fabrication of advanced automation equipments.

Both PMI and PPC are involving themselves in components manufacturing for the aerospace industry. To ensure their competency and competitiveness in this industry, both companies decided to go for the EN9100:2003 Aerospace Quality Management System Certification. From the early preparation stage until the on site assessment, PMI and PPC took sufficient time to make sure they move steadily towards the target with commitment from the top management and educating the staffs throughout the organization to understand, implement and maintain the established system.

DQS Malaysia is glad to be selected by PMI and PPC as their partner for their EN 9100:2003 Certification. On October 2010, PMI and PPC reached the milestone where both companies were successfully certified to the EN9100:2003 Aerospace System Certification as well as the ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification.
